ABOUT
Let The Pigs Have A Party are a high-octane crowd-pleasing band, who play traditional Rhythm & Blues classics as well as a small number of originals.
Let The Pigs Have A Party, or The Pigs as they are affectionately known, are a band with a history.

Formed in 1988 in North Lincolnshire, UK, the band followed in the footsteps of so many British artists in playing homage to the classic blues of the American south. Gigging in pubs and clubs around Humberside, North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, the band soon developed a reputation for high octane rhythm & blues and audience-interactive sets....a tradition that lasts to this day.

The band's following grew, and stints on BBC Radio Lincolnshire and larger audiences followed, including playing to over 2,000 at the Winter Gardens, Cleethorpes, in support of the Rumble Band...then the largest touring band in Europe. The Pigs toured the North of England, typically accompanied by enthusiastic followers from their home village of Broughton, Lincs.
In 1994 the band released an album, This next song, followed shortly after by an EP featuring two Pigs original songs, Matter of Pride and Red Stripe Blues.
In the early 2000s the band stopped playing as the challenges of modern living encroached.

2009 onwards- New pigs on the block

2009 saw the tragic early death of band front man and songwriter John Cade. The year after, drummer Pete Watson reunited the band and took over singing duties, his place on drums being taken by John's son Chaz Cade. Tragedy struck again when Pete himself died the following year.

In 2014 the band reunited again with keyboard player Simon Ferguson taking on the frontman duties (with some trepidation...). With a new line up and a vow to carry the torch for the spirit of everything the Pigs have meant over the years, the band's latest incarnation has both stayed true to the history and broken new ground.

In 2018 the band released an EP, Now and Then, Featuring 2 new tracks, and re-releasing Matter of Pride and Red Stripe Blues.
